Although high-performance mid/bass and treble units are the foundation of a great-sounding speaker, an unmanageable source of unwanted noise can become an unmanageable source of unwanted noise if the cabinet is not properly amplified.
Extensive research and development has been carried out to ensure the robustness of the internal cabinet, eliminating unwanted cabinet resonances and vibrations. Using a combination of CAD analysis, lots of experimentation and extensive listening tests, the cabinet within each speaker has been strengthened at key points, meaning that the full frequency range is clear and detailed.
The diagram shows areas of bracing and its effect on sound. Blue areas indicate where sound is reduced by cabinet bracing, while red areas indicate where there is sound. As you can see, the sound comes from the drivers and not from the cabinet, as it should.
