Our 3050i floorstanding speakers adopt design and technological principles from the Concept 500s to deliver stunning sonic performance. They use point-to-point (P2P™) bracing techniques to reduce cabinet resonance for purer sound and a more accurate soundstage. This was combined with Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer (HPE™) technology to eliminate sympathetic resonance. The 3050i speakers have precision 165 mm and 22 mm drivers. The 22 mm decoupled high-frequency driver with wide surround provides wide and even stereo dispersion. 3050i tweeters are decoupled from the baffle via a compatible suspension system. Vibration from the woofer, which can affect tweeter performance, is isolated. This allows the tweeter to perform with significantly less interference.

The Q 3050i speakers feature a range of unique technologies, including HPE™ and P2P™, to ensure that these floorstanding speakers deliver truly exceptional sound.

HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer) technology, designed to convert pressure into velocity and reduce the overall pressure gradient within the speaker cabinet, has been applied to the Q 3050i to reduce cabinet resonance. This technology is perfect for larger speakers that tend to resonate at one favorite frequency. (**Q 3050i only)

Q Acoustics P2P™ (Point to Point) bracing across the 3000i series supports the parts of the enclosure that need bracing, making the enclosures exceptionally rigid, improving the focus of the stereo image and making the soundstage more accurate than in previous series. (*whole series)

Mid/bass driver

Whichever 3000i model you choose, the cone is precisely formed from impregnated and coated paper and combined with a newly developed rubber surround with low hysteresis. The coated paper cone offers the optimum balance between stiffness and self-damping, meaning it can accelerate without flexing and stop very precisely without unwanted resonances.

The Q 3050i has an all-new enclosure aesthetic and offers 4 new, contemporary finishes; Graphite Gray, English Walnut, Carbon Black or Arctic White. All are finished with an attractive chrome surround around each driver and feature magnetic speaker grilles.

The Q 3050i incorporates low-profile binding posts with connections deep enough for 4 mm banana plugs. This floorstanding speaker can be placed very close to a rear wall, even if banana plugs are used instead of spades or exposed wires.
