The Yamaha MusicCast YSP-2700 black offers the illusion of speakers all around without the accompanying speakers and cords. The Yamaha does this by bouncing sound off the walls from just two sources (including the subwoofer) to give a room-filling sound that could easily convince you to think there are many more speakers at work. With 16 dedicated speakers and amplifiers, the surround sound effect is the most convincing of any soundbar in its class.

IntelliBeam ensures an optimal multi-channel setup through constant and accurate monitoring and analysis of sound output via the included microphone. With a wide selection of beam settings, you can tailor the sound exactly to your needs, including whether you are listening to stereo music or movies in surround sound.

Thanks to the separate, active subwoofer, this soundbar also has real clout. With its dedicated amplifier, the subwoofer puts the "fond" in action movies, for a home theater with punch. Also, the subwoofer is wireless, meaning it can be placed anywhere in the room (mains connection required).

The Yamaha YSP2700 is fully compatible with Yamaha's hugely impressive network audio system, MusicCast. MusicCast lets you control all your compatible Yamaha MusicCast products from your smartphone or tablet. Play the same music on all components or divide the sound into different zones for different moods in each room; the choice is yours.

Built-in Apple AirPlay means you can wirelessly stream music from your Apple iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad or other compatible Apple device. If you use another brand of smartphone or tablet, you also have Bluetooth, for easy music streaming from your portable device.

Also standard with the YSP-2700 is Wi-Fi, making it easy to connect to your home network. A DLNA-certified connection makes streaming a breeze. You can access your stored music from a PC, laptop or NAS drive and listen to Internet radio stations and music services such as Spotify Premium, Qobuz and Napster. Another nice feature is the free Apple or Android app that lets you control many of the soundbar's features from your smartphone, iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad or tablet.

With three HDMI inputs, it's easy to connect a Blu-ray player, game console and set-top box and your TV. The HDMI connections are HDR, HDCP2.2 and UHD 4K compatible, meaning they work with current generation UHD4K Blu-ray players and TVs. Other inputs include both optical and coaxial digital inputs plus analog line inputs for your music sources.

With a height of only 51 mm, the YSP2700 is much slimmer than its predecessors. This low height does not block the image of your TV or the remote control sensor. The minimalist design and aluminum casing matches the most streamlined TVs. Put the subwoofer out of sight and you have room-filling sound without the visual impact of traditional surround sound systems.
