The AE320 is a new slim floorstanding speaker with compact dimensions suitable for medium to large spaces.
The AE320 features three 130 mm. mid-bass drive units of the latest generation. These drivers guarantee improved dispersion, extended bass tone and overall power handling thanks to a new ceramic aluminum sandwich cone, an ultra-shallow profile and ultra-high force, and a long throw motor system.
The 28 mm. aluminum tweeter provides high power handling and low fundamental resonance to reduce distortion. However, the main advantage of this new design is the excellent dispersion characteristics thanks to the "Wide Dispersion Technology waveguides." The waveguides "shape" the acoustic output of the tweeter to match the woofer and provide a wider sweet-spot in your listening environment.
The MDF enclosure (18 mm., high density) features patented bracing technology to reduce "sound discoloration," and to allow the new transducers to breathe freely in the listening environment. The slotted channel port at the rear of the speaker increases bass response and has been carefully designed to reduce the effect of air turbulence, for pure and undistorted bass response.
The base of the cabinet features mass material ("weighted") that adds damping and reduces sound distortion through the cabinet. This extra weight combined with 8 mm. floor spikes improves stability and provides a solid base for the speaker drivers to operate without cabinet resonance.
The result of this new drive unit technology and enclosure design is a slim, powerful floorstanding speaker for the discerning listener who values audio quality combined with elegant aesthetics.
