Atacama Evoque ECO 60/40 Special Edition surface mount 210mm bamboo natural

Atacama's newest line of bamboo furniture is an evolved Evoque Eco with the addition Special Edition. Like the regular ECO, this 60/40 SE line is completely modular in composition and consists of a base module resting on floor spikes and surface-mounted modules with tubular frames of different heights. The bamboo shelves have a thickness of 4 centimeters and can each take a load of up to 30 kilograms. The black tube frames are equipped with the so-called A.S.I.S.T., which stands for Atacama Sonic Isolation System Technology. The technology dampens and channels high-frequency resonances away from the plateaus, improving equipment performance. But the Special Edition stands for more. With this line, the fight against unwanted resonances is unprecedented of its kind. Tube lengths are 15mm longer to bring down the resonant frequency. Furthermore, the Frostrum cones make their appearance. These nickel-plated bronze cones act as a tuning counterweight and are located inside the tubes. They can be precisely tuned to the resonant frequency of the device located on the platform. In addition, the plateaus are equipped with so-called Vectored Resonance Deflection Channels (V.R.D.C.). These three-dimensional geometric slots at the bottom of the bamboo plateaus neutralize harmonic energy in the higher frequencies by directing it toward tubes. The tubes further direct this energy toward the special feet that then rest on the new bronze insulation spikes. These endpoints direct the energy toward the floor. The result is one of the quietest racks available today. A unique combination of damping by the material bamboo, dissipation by the V.R.D.C.'s, isolation by the use of spikes and cones and finally control by the new, internal tuning mechanism. And beautiful to look at too, not entirely unimportant.
