About the Audiolab 6000CDT - Silver - CD Player:
The 6000CDT uses the same charging mechanism as Audiolab's flagship, the 8300CD. This unit is extremely rugged and reliable, and uses a "read-ahead digital buffer" to reduce read errors. The 6000CDT is capable of playing scratched and damaged CDs that are unreadable by conventional CD players.
The Sound of Science
The 6000CDT is Audiolab's latest CD player. Using Audiolab's slot loading mechanism / read-ahead digital buffer, reading errors are greatly reduced and a high level of digital signal extraction from CDs is delivered, even if they were scratched, damaged and unreadable by conventional devices. A built-in digital decoder uses digital coax and optical outputs to provide maximum versatility.
The master clock is controlled by a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator, so the digital output through the coaxial and optical outputs contains extremely low levels of jitter (digital distortion).
Overview
In addition, the coaxial output is fed by a differential line driver to ensure that a pure / error-free digital signal reaches the accompanying DAC. The 32-bit DAC section found in the Audiolab 6000A integrated amplifier is obviously perfect to match with our 6000CDT.
By mounting the transport system in the electromagnetically shielded housing and providing a dedicated power supply, the digital signal extraction from each CD is as accurate as can be.
