The 6000N Play is the ideal way to add high-quality wireless audio streaming to any home audio system.
The 6000N Play combines the versatility of the DTS Play-Fi wireless audio platform with Audiolab's know-how in a great Wi-Fi streaming solution that is easy to set up and use. Users can stream from any source on their wireless network, meaning from smartphones, tablets and PCs, as well as NAS drives and music servers, through the 6000N Play's dual-band/Wi-Fi dual-antenna. The system also connects wirelessly to other Play-Fi-enabled devices, allowing for a fully synchronized setup across multiple rooms.
The 6000N Play offers access to streaming services such as Spotify, Tidal, HDtracks, Deezer, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Napster, TuneIn, iHeartRadio and SiriusXM, just to name a few. Users can also choose to browse through a directory of thousands of radio stations and podcasts, or stream from a DLNA-compatible home media server. The 6000N Play is hi-res audio capable and can receive data up to 24 bit/192 kHz resolution over Wi-Fi - well above CD quality - without transcoding or downsampling.
The 6000N Play is equipped with a high-quality DAC (digital-to-analog converter) that uses the same ES9018 Sabre32 Reference chip found in the Audiolab 6000A integrated amplifier. ESS Technology's 32-bit HyperStream architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator coupled with Audiolab's own circuitry guarantee ultra-low noise and high dynamic range. The circuit design is also further inspired by Audiolab's 6000CDT CD player, featuring the same isolated power supply with a highly efficient toroidal transformer for optimum signal purity.
The DAC stage allows the 6000N Play to be used with any audio system. You easily connect the analog RCA outputs to a regular amplifier or a pair of active speakers. You can also provide a digital feed (optical or coaxial) that goes directly to an external DAC, or an amplifier with digital inputs like Audiolab's 6000A. Needless to say, the 6000A is an ideal partner for the 6000N Play. When these two components are linked digitally, an optical or coaxial cable provides the audio signal transmission, while an included USB control cable allows the 6000A volume to be controlled via the Play-Fi app.

The 6000N Play is configured and controlled via the Play-Fi app, available for iOS, Android and Kindle Fire phones and tablets, Apple and Android smartwatches and Windows PCs. The device can also stream Spotify directly via Spotify Connect and is DLNA and UPnP compatible. There are few controls on the device itself, just the standby button and a set of six "preset" buttons. These presets work exactly like those on a DAB or FM tuner: simply select an Internet radio station or a playlist from a compatible streaming service and save it as a preset for quick access, without having to use the app.
Easy operation, coupled with the versatility of Play-Fi, are the things that make the 6000N Play appealing.
