Premium High-Grade D/A Converter and Dual Mono Construction D/A
For analog audio output, the D/A circuit is one of the most important elements because it is going to "re-create" the original analog waveform of a digital source (such as a CD). For the D/A converters, the DAC AK4497s (top-of-the-line from Asahi Kasei Microdevices) with their high-quality signal-to-noise ratio and low distortion are isolated for the left and right channels. The power supply for the D/A converters is divided into five sections, depending on the application, and also powered separately each time. The power supply for the clock uses an original Battery Driven Circuit System to achieve very accurate D/A conversion. The dual mono construction and asymmetrical layout eliminate interference between the left and right channels and lift the reproduction of sound recordings to a higher level.
Discrete AMP Module of the Technics SL-G700 - Silver - CD and Network Audio Player
For analog audio output, the filter circuit after D/A conversion determines the quality of the sound. The filter circuit of the SL-G700 has no Opamp IC, but an amplifier module of original construction. The use of low-noise transistors and thin-film resistors suppresses the noise generated in the circuits. Detailed fine-tuning, such as increasing the operating current, has improved the response, signal-to-noise ratio and distortion. As a result, the SL-G700 offers a very linear and natural sound, without obscuring the small nuances of the original recording.
High-Speed Silent Hybrid Power Supply
Power supply quality is extremely important for high-fidelity sound reproduction. The noise and stability of the power supply affect the quality of the reproduced sound signals, especially in analog sound reproduction. The SL-G700 is equipped with a special power supply for analog sound reproduction. The "non-feedback switching power supply" suppresses fluctuation of the switching frequency. Combined with the original stabilized power supply circuit, this power supply delivers stable power with low noise. The discrete circuit does not use generic ICs and the precise tuning provides optimum power for analog circuits. This gives you a high signal-to-noise ratio and superior reproduction, the trademark of Technics sound.
Four-Section Configuration
There are several circuits in digital audio players, such as Switching Power Supply, the Digital Interface Circuit that processes the high-frequency signal, and also the analog circuit. The SL-G700 uses a four-layer construction with walls between the circuit blocks based on the signal level being processed and the type of circuit. This eliminates interference between circuit blocks, resulting in clear sound quality. The construction makes the frame strong and suppresses vibration from electrical components, and therefore suppresses the decrease in sound quality.

When playing a disc, sound quality is determined by read accuracy. The CD control mechanism has a three-part structure to ensure maximum reading accuracy and prevent vibrations from being noticeable outside the mechanism. In addition, the SL-G700 has a stable aluminum tray with a highly vibration-damping and quiet structure to ensure very accurate playback.

The SL-G700 supports Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi and Apple AirPlay2 with its wireless connectivity. It is also compatible with streaming services such as Spotify, TIDAL and Internet radio, as well as features such as Chromecast built-in and Google Assistant.
