The Aria CC 900 2-way center loudspeaker can be easily combined with the front speakers of the series. The CC 900 was developed with particular attention to wood-matching to achieve sonic coherence and homogeneity for all kinds of configurations.
The Aria range is vast, allowing a huge range of home theater configurations to suit, among other things, the size of the listening room. The central speaker CC 900 is the cornerstone of the system. It should bring precision and consistency between the visual image and the sound image. The contribution of the "Flax" sandwich diaphragm to definition is wonderfully clear, with voices that have both intelligibility and depth.
The Aria CC 900 center speaker, when used with a pair of Aria 936, two surround speakers Aria SR 900 and a Sub 300 P subwoofer, delivers remarkable results and guarantees you a truly outstanding home theater 5.1 system.
Recommended for rooms from 215ft2 (20m2) upwards and for a listening distance of 10ft (3m).
Poron suspension for soft treble at the Focal Aria CC900 - Prime Walnut - Center Speaker
For the TNF tweeter, we have made two important evolutions to our aluminum/magnesium tweeter. The suspension between the dome and the bracket is made of Poron, a shape memory material.
This suspension method is directly derived from the famous Utopia Beryllium tweeter, making it possible to reduce distortion by a factor of three in the 2-3kHz range, where the human ear has a very high sensitivity.
The spatial characteristics of the inverted dome and its very low directivity already make it far superior to conventional domes used by our competitors. This guarantees an incredibly stable soundstage that makes the listening position much less critical.
Flax cone, so original
Flax cones have been made exclusively by Focal in France since 2013. With their original design, the cones are completely focused on acoustic performance. They are made of high-quality flax fiber enclosed by two thin layers of fiberglass. Flax cones are characterized by their natural sound, with little coloration, their rich reproduction in the midrange register and their tighter bass.
The lightness of the fiber meets the criteria of high internal damping, high speed and high bending stiffness. Flax is twice as light as fiberglass because the fiber is hollow. It also has very low elasticity, making it ideal for increasing the flexural stiffness of a sandwich structure.
