Chora 826-D is a speaker equipped with a dedicated speaker driver that reproduces Dolby Atmos® effects: for ultra-realistic 3D soundtracks and total immersion in the movies you are watching. This full-range speaker driver is placed on top of the speaker and directs sound toward the ceiling to reflect it back to the listener. Action scenes in the sky, pouring rain or rolling thunder all come to life. At the same time, the directional baffle allows you to locate the sound effects as if you had speakers in the ceiling! Imagine a scene in a house: you hear conversations, but also the sound of cutlery, of footsteps ... all of this three-dimensionally expanded as if you were there yourself!
Combining French manufacturing and design, this product also incorporates exclusive Focal technologies, notably the Slatefiber cone of the midrange and bass speaker drivers or the aluminum/magnesium TNF tweeter for greater treble clarity.

Dolby Atmos® is a technology developed specifically for audio products. Dolby Atmos®-equipped speakers are "enabled speakers": in addition to their speaker drivers in the front panel (horizontal channels), they include a speaker driver at the top (vertical channel) that echoes sound throughout the listening room. This technology also isolates each sound from the original soundtrack and mixes, as an independent audio object, for the most detailed sound reproduction. The slate cone
Also made in France in Focal's workshops, it is characterized by a rich, dynamic and balanced sound, especially in the midrange, as well as stunning aesthetics thanks to its "slate" effect. It is the result of several years of R&D: the engineers mixed ultra-lightweight recycled non-woven carbon fibers - a first in the audio world - with thermoplastic polymer. The combination of these materials provides outstanding acoustic performance.
