The Sub 1000 F subwoofer is designed for home theater use in the purest Focal tradition. A technological masterpiece, it features a 30 cm (1113/16″) diameter bass speaker cone. Due to the rigidity and lightness of this eco-friendly fabric, it produces extremely well-defined, distortion-free sound. The dual magnet driver delivers phenomenal power while providing excellent linearity.The Sub 1000 F has an integrated 1,000 watt BASH® super-powerful amplifier to unleash the 30cm woofer's full potential.Finally, the enclosed construction offers extended bass reproduction, a very compact size and an absence of interference, all leading to a pure, harmonious sound.

The definition of bass frequencies
The speaker cone in this subwoofer uses flax technology. Flax is an environmentally friendly textile with amazing structural properties that make it particularly suitable for solid manufacturing. It is light, stiff and well-damped. In general, flax membranes provide greater timbre neutrality and better sound definition. Originating from the flax cones developed for the Aria 900 speaker series, the cone diaphragm in the Sub 1000 F has a new, even stiffer construction. Two sheets of 160 g/m2 fiberglass and a 250 g/m2 flax core. It withstands the high demands placed on subwoofers.
Dynamic, controlled bass from the Focal Sub 1000 F - Black - Subwoofer
The Sub 1000 F subwoofer also features a coil/driver unit optimized to keep the coil temperature as low as possible. This means the speaker gives well-articulated bass, improved dynamics and significant SPL power (103.5 dB / 1 m @ 40Hz). Focal's Research & Development team developed a custom-made spider/suspension for the Sub 1000 F. Its dynamic behavior is perfectly controlled, which means that the bass is also always controlled, even with a very long suspension travel (up to 43 mm).
