Utopia features full-range speaker drivers with a pure Beryllium 'M' shaped dome, fully open at the rear. Focal engineers have risen to the challenge of making you feel like you are listening to the best Focal speakers! The result is a set of speaker drivers that operate without active or passive correction, from 5 Hz to over 50 kHz. The headphones disappear completely, making the reproduction of the audio signal unparalleled in purity.
Focal engineers have also developed a voice coil - the centerpiece of a speaker driver, along with the cone - made of copper for reliability and aluminum for lightness: an evolution synonymous with the renewed sound signature, and as uncompromising as ever.

High-end design -a new look, a reworked design
Utopia is a combination of austerity and distinction. The aesthetic of Focal's open-back (Clear Mg) and closed-back (Stellia and Celestee) headphones, is embellished with honeycomb grilles on the outside and inside of the ear cups. In addition to the Black Chrome-colored rings - now screwed on from the inside - it delivers subtle and sophisticated aesthetic details, such as red glimpses of the motor unit of the speaker drivers or the Yin & Yang effect visible on the housing, symbolic of design and technology in perfect harmony.

Drive-in period of the Focal Utopia 2022 - Black - Over-ear Headphones
These headphones require a run-in period to function optimally.
They will naturally break in after several hours of listening time.
If you want to speed up the process, we recommend playing very bassy music through them at a relatively high volume for at least 24 hours.
This will stabilize the speaker drivers and allow you to get the most out of your headphones.
