Introducing the Mission 700 - Walnut - Bookshelf Speaker

A sister model to the long-awaited reintroduction of the Mission 770, which marked the return to British production for the Mission brand, the Mission 700 occupies an important position as an "industry benchmark. This model builds on the original 700 model, but leverages Mission's 45 years of evolution and development in loudspeaker design.

An Aesthetic Wink to the Past

Under the direction of Mission's Director of Acoustic Design, Peter Comeau, the new Mission 700 bears a striking aesthetic resemblance to the original model. Although the design feels familiar, numerous complex innovations and improvements have been made that bring this esteemed model right up to date.

Innovations in Woofer/Midrange and Motor System, the Mission 700 - Walnut - Bookshelf Speaker

As with the flagship 770, Mission has developed a new polypropylene bass/midrange driver and model-specific motor system for the Mission 700. This advanced transducer not only enhances the speaker's integral design to meet modern demands for power handling and dynamics, but also retains the extended response and minimal coloration of the original model. With features and distinction of a leading loudspeaker, the Mission 700 offers tight, fast and energetic output, thanks to a rigid, molded chassis and low-density surround.

Advanced Crossover Mapping and Simulation

A key component of the Mission design process includes advanced, software-based crossover mapping and simulation. This technology accurately balances the drivers, allowing them to integrate seamlessly into the overall speaker performance. While the design remains true to Mission tradition and protocol, the efficiency of software-based development is complemented by thousands of hours of listening tests. The result is a crossover design that offers musical character with exciting detail and musicality that not only matches but exceeds the acclaimed performance level of the original Mission 700.
