Advanced Sound for an Entry Price
Although the Music Hall Mark1 boasts a lower price than the famous mmf2.3, the technology used is essentially the same. Roy Hall's signature music sound is found throughout Music Hall's entire range, and the Mark1 is no exception.
Completely New Tone Arm
Our new all-aluminum, S-shaped design, with a precision aluminum headshell, allows us to achieve the highest possible level of rigidity and internal damping. The tone arm flange is CNC-milled, allowing for precise mounting of the tone arm to the heavy-duty chassis. VTA is fully adjustable and it is a feature almost never seen in this price range. This no-compromise solution allows us to achieve that signature Music Hall sound.
The magnetic anti-skating function is quite deluxe. And the factory-set, preset and fixed counterweight makes adjustment a breeze.
Cartridge
We made sure to mount a cartridge that perfectly matches the characteristics of the tonearm. The Mark1 uses a high-quality, super-fast and low-mass dynamic cartridge from one of the leading cartridge manufacturers in Europe, the Ortofon OM 5E. This creates a beautiful, full sound, which until now has been impossible to achieve in a budget turntable.
