Product Description

Rotel's second largest stereo amplifier with 200 watts per channel delivers the massive power to drive the very largest hi-fi systems effortlessly. And like its smaller brother, the RB-1582 MkII is designed to excel at resolving the subtle details in music and delivering the power needed for extremely dynamic passages. It is able to meet this difficult dual requirement because of the meticulous attention paid to circuit design and component selection.

The high-end performance of the RB-1582 MkII begins with an extremely large toroidal transformer combined with a total storage capacity of 60,000 µF in special "slit foil" capacitors to deliver fully stable power to the output stage. Slit foil capacitors have the ability to charge and discharge extremely quickly, ensuring signal fidelity during, for example, orchestral crescendos or repetitive kick-drum impacts. Both the left and right channels are constructed in a monoblock design (after the toroidal transformer) and all grounding is terminated in a star pattern on a copper grounding plate to ensure low signal to noise. The output stage is a discrete design consisting of 10 bipolar high-current transistors per channel. Input options include both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connectors.
