Newly Developed Speaker Units and Acoustic Lens
The 8 cm. woofer unit offers significantly better basic characteristics due to the various improvements made, such as the lower weight of the voice coil, improved airflow and a more robust diaphragm. The woofer offers excellent response and sound clarity to reproduce mid- and high-frequency sound comfortably to the ear. The high-res-ready dome tweeter unit of 2 cm. features a light, silk diaphragm for beautifully immersive sound. In addition, the acoustic lens is optimized for the new tweeter shape and improves the expansiveness of reproduced sound.
3 Jeno Engines
To faithfully reproduce the information of rich sound with the 3.1 channel configuration, three fully digital amplifier units or "JENO Engines" have been provided. Besides using the excellent processing power of the three units and controlling the left and right channels and subwoofer faithfully, "Space Tune" has been realized, which optimizes the sound quality depending on the installation status.
Space Tune™
The SC-C70MK2 features Space Tune™ Auto to achieve optimally balanced sound at the touch of a button. This feature measures test tones played through a microphone built into the SC-C70MK2 to analyze distance from walls and the effect of reflections. It then automatically optimizes the sound field. In addition, the Space Tune™ feature includes 3 presets (Free, Near the Wall and Near the Corner) for easy setup, and uses a Technics Audio Center app to accurately adjust sound quality to the listening position.
