The "Denton 85th Anniversary" is a "classic" two-way bookshelf loudspeaker. Beautifully hand veneered by Wharfedale cabinet makers, with an inset faceplate and traditional Tungsten fabric grille.
Beneath its traditional exterior, the Denton 85th Anniversary is completely up-to-date, with a mix of traditional and advanced technologies. The bass unit features Wharfedale's innovative woven Kevlar cone mounted on a rigid die-cast chassis. This combination delivers rich, detailed bass/midrange output with excellent dynamic performance. High frequencies are handled by a woven textile soft dome treble unit with high flux ferrite magnet, designed for smooth, detailed HF extension.
The drive units are combined by a "researched" crossover that is almost inaudible to the listener. This results in a coherent and seamless musical output that is both exciting and natural.
