Total music reproduction

Yamaha's patented RS (Resonance Suppression) compartments are mounted on the back of the tweeter and midrange drivers to faithfully reproduce even the finest nuances of musical instruments and voices. Two specially shaped tubes eliminate unwanted tube resonance generated behind the diaphragm, bringing the natural sound to life and preserving the smallest musical nuances of the original source. In addition, far fewer conventional sound-absorbing materials are required.

Faithful musical reproduction

Conventional speakers use a large amount of sound-absorbing material to eliminate internal standing waves. Unfortunately, this also eliminates much of the original clarity of the music. In the NS-2000A, we have employed our patented acoustic absorption element to eliminate standing waves and have minimized the amount of sound-absorbing material. Thus, the original character of music, in danger of being lost due to sound absorption, is reproduced full of energy and dynamics.

The cross section of the cabinet is optimally braced for solid response at low frequencies and a solid, comfortable musical foundation. As a result, the soundstage is expressed without any loss.
