Compressed Music Enhancer

When music is encoded in a digitally compressed format such as mp3, the frequency response is adversely affected. But Sound Enhancement for Compressed Digital Music (Compressed Music Enhancer) uses advanced digital signal processing based on exclusive algorithms to restore what has been lost. So music always sounds the way it was intended.

Advantage of a high slew rate

This ensures precise signal transfer, making it particularly suitable for Hi-Res audio signals. In general, amplifiers with a high slew-rate have unstable signal transmission, but the new circuit designed by Yamaha ensures that signal transmission remains stable.

Anti Resonance Technology Wedge

The Anti Resonance Technology (A.R.T.) Wedge is a fifth foot centered on the bottom of the unit. This wedge dampens vibrations from the power supply, transistors and heatsinks, as well as vibrations potentially caused by sound from the speakers. All this results in a particularly dynamic and highly accurate sound reproduction.

HDR10+*

HDR10+ not only reproduces the dynamic range (the range from light to dark) of video content on a scene-by-scene (or even frame-by-frame) basis, but also, using a small amount of metadata, preserves the scene characteristics between light and dark so that no important details are lost. Programmable scene buttons for numbers and stations

There are four scene buttons, which you can program for different inputs or for a sound field program, Music Enhancer, HDMI output and more. The inputs can be set to specific sources, such as an FM or Internet radio station, a station on a streaming service, a USB device or a track on a PC or NAS (network). Once you set them up, press one of these buttons on the main unit or the remote control to turn on the receiver and listen to the music you want. The buttons can be reset at any time.

Easy operation with MusicCast app

Use your smartphone or tablet together with the MusicCast Controller app to control the AVR and change settings quickly and easily. The same Controller app acts as a remote control for all your MusicCast-compatible devices and provides all the settings for Multiroom Audio.
