The AE309 is a slim floorstanding speaker with compact dimensions suitable for medium to large spaces. Like the AE300 comparison, the AE309 offers higher levels of performance and finish than its 100-series equivalent.
The AE309 uses two 130 mm mid-bass drive units of the latest generation. With an all-new ceramic aluminum sandwich cone with an ultra-deep profile and an ultra-high-power, long-throw motor system, this new driver offers improved dispersion, extended bass slam and overall power handling.
A new 28 mm aluminum tweeter has been developed for the 300 series that offers high power and low fundamental resonance to reduce distortion. However, the main advantage of this new design is its excellent dispersion characteristics thanks to our Wide Dispersion Technology waveguides. The waveguides shape the acoustic output of the tweeter to match the woofer and provide a wider sweet-spot in your listening environment.
The inert, 18 mm high-density MDF cabinet uses patented bracing technology derived from the award-winning Reference Series to reduce cabinet coloration and allow the new transducers to breathe freely in the listening environment. The slotted channel port at the rear of the speaker increases bass response and has been carefully designed to reduce the effect of air turbulence with clean, undistorted bass response. The cabinet base is pre-loaded with an inert mass material that adds damping and reduces cabinet coloration. The mass loading combined with 8 mm floor spikes help stability and provide a solid base for the drive units to operate without resonances from the cabinet interacting with the floor surface.

Finished in a choice of Piano lacquer black, white or satin real walnut wood veneer, the AE309 fits easily into any interior.
