High Quality CD Player

Extremely robust and reliable; Omnia's CD drive builds on the industry-leading 6000CDT CD transport with a pre-reading digital buffer to reduce reading errors. Such is the performance of this CD mechanism, Omnia can play scratched and damaged CDs that are unreadable by conventional mechanisms.

Connectivity Options for Traditional Audio Sources

Using high-quality analog preamp circuitry, similar to the acclaimed Audiolab 6000 series, coupled with line-level RCA inputs to connect analog sources, the preamp circuitry has been kept as simple as possible. Using high-quality components to maintain signal purity, with line-level input signals going to a precise analog volume stage, Omnia is an excellent preamplifier in its own right.

A dedicated MM phono input means a turntable can be connected directly to Omnia via a high-quality, low-noise phono stage with precise RIAA equalization. This phono stage is the further evolution of the award-winning 6000 series - designed to make the most of the music nestled in the grooves of an LP.

Audio Playback via Network

For networked audio playback, the audiolabOmnia is equipped with an Ethernet port, which lends itself to a wired connection and the greater bandwidth requirements of high-resolution digital audio.

For the easiest access to wireless music playback, Omnia offers high-quality, low-latency Bluetooth connectivity with the Bluetooth aptX standard.

The 6000A Play's Wi-Fi network is powered by DTS Play-Fi: an app-controlled platform that enables high-quality wireless audio for the entire home, is capable of streaming hi-res music up to 24-bit/192 kHz and is supported by a larger of established audio brands than any other wireless platform.

USB DAC Section and More

The USB DAC section is based on audiolab's long-time partner and multi-award-winning pedigree. The new ESS9038 Q2M SABRE 32 Reference DAC performs D/A conversion using ESS Technology's 32-bit HypersStream II architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator to deliver ultra-low noise and high dynamic range.

No company knows more about making the most of this technically excellent but challenging DAC technology than audiolab; the widely acclaimed M-DAC was one of the first home audio components to include an ESS chip in 2011, and the company has been refining its implementation ever since.

Via the USB DAC section, the Omnia Audiolab also offers full decoding of MQA (Master Quality Authenticated). MQA is an award-winning British technology that delivers the sound of the original master recording. The Omnia includes MQA decoder technology, which allows you to play MQA audio files and streams - received via the USB input - with the full resolution of the original file and send the signal through the DAC and preamp stages. MQA files are available via subscription to TIDAL's "HiFi" layer (among other sources).

IPS LC Display

Firmly planting itself as a very useful piece of high-tech equipment, the audiolab Omnia uses a color IPS LCD display, which offers higher color brightness and lower power consumption than TFT displays. Through its engaging display, the Audiolab Omnia offers a simplified overall user interface and graphical integration with your music source and playback formats. It also uses a brand new protocol for a real-time VU meter display, adding a touch of hi-fi finesse to the highly functional, equally beautiful display interface.

Connect Without Complexity

Controlling your speakers is a breeze without complexity, in terms of configuration. Simply connect your passive speakers to the Omnia Audiolab and you have access to a world of audio sources with impeccable playback.

The discrete class AB power amplifier stage delivers 50 W per channel at 8 ohms, with a maximum current output of 9 amps, under difficult loads. The output stage of the discrete power amplifier circuitry uses a CFB (Complementary Feedback) topology, which provides superior linearity and excellent thermal stability, as the quiescent current is kept independent of the temperature of the output transistors. A substantial 200VA toroidal transformer, followed by a reservoir capacity of 4 × 15,000 uF (60,000 uF total), helps the amplifier maintain good control of the music while enabling excellent dynamic range. More than just a class leader, the Omnia is a class-beater in terms of amplifier performance!
