This series was created to meet the demand for an economically priced, exceptionally dynamic, active subwoofer specifically for home theater applications. The ideal combination of the lightweight CarbonGlas™ drivers with the powerful Class-D amplifier delivers unprecedented dynamics. Special input filters have been developed to provide sophisticated reproduction of the lowest lows below 20Hz. The possibility of wireless, compression-free operation adds to the proposition.

The reason for going for the HT/1205 anyway is far from complicated. You want just a little more "Oomph" as the English can say so nicely. And the word says it all. You are looking for just that little bit extra in the low end that an HT/1003 cannot offer you.

More Of Everything

That bit extra does cost something. First, a little more money. 200 euros to be exact. But you also get a lot in return. First, a built-in 500W Class-D NextGen5 amplifier. This is needed to properly drive the 12" (30 cm) CarbonGlas™ driver.
Finally, it costs you a little more space. It is 5 cm wider and deeper than its little brother. But yes; with these sizes you may still speak of compact.
