Internal microphones continuously measure your ear canal and listening situation, so you receive pure reference sound for the ultimate listening experience.
The size and shape of our head and ears determine how we will hear sounds from headphones or earphones. Yamaha's Listening Optimizer uses an in-ear microphone to measure the sealing and air leakage of differently shaped ears every 20 seconds. Played audio is optimized in real time to correct the difference between the source and actual listening situation to reproduce sound tailored to the individual listener.
Advanced Active Noise Cancelling from the Yamaha YH-E700A - Black - Wireless Headphones
Yamaha's unique noise cancellation technology never disturbs the sound source, only eliminates unwanted noise to provide a clean audio signal.
Active Noise Cancellation is known to allow low frequencies to be lost when playing music. Advanced ANC is based on a new approach that suppresses ambient noise without applying any processing to the music signal.
Microphones in the ear record the combined signals of the music and ambient noise, then separate these signals and process them separately. This is made possible by a new, unique algorithm that isolates both signals.
After the signal is recorded by the internal microphone, the ambient noise is analyzed and what needs to be removed from the music signal is calculated. This means there is no unnecessary processing of the music signal and the music playback remains pure.
Closer but not louder
Listening Care intelligently optimizes audio frequencies for long-term responsible listening.
Listening Care optimizes volume balance based on a static (fixed) volume setting on your device. But things like content volume and dynamic range and music recording volume vary, as does background noise volume. This can lead to volume changes on the device. Especially if there is a lot of background noise, it may be desirable to increase the volume.
Listening Care on the EP-E70/YH-E700/YH-L700 uses a real-time, adaptive approach based on sound data from the last 5 seconds. This calculates the average volume level every 0.7 milliseconds. The correction applied to a 4-band EQ is adaptive in accordance with the average volume level. Therefore, the optimization is significantly more accurate and is continuously adjusted to the volume of the content. Moreover, the correction parameters are applied slowly during a period to create a natural effect. Your listening experience is adapted to the music and your environment, so you receive fully personalized sound - just for you.
Ambient Sound
When you listen with headphones or earphones, you cut yourself off from the outside world to become completely immersed in music or audio. But as a result, you may miss important sounds, such as the siren of an ambulance, a honking car or announcements on public transportation. Such sounds can be crucial in preventing accidents or ensuring that you arrive at your destination on time.
Yamaha's Ambient Sound feature uses the built-in microphone to capture these external sounds and play them back in the background while you listen to your audio, keeping you fully aware of your surroundings.

The Yamaha YH-E700A headphones come incl. a nice storage box to take them with you on the move. This allows you to store the headphones neatly without the risk of damage. The ear cups are rotatable so that the headphones can be stored fairly compactly.
Upon unpacking the headphones, I immediately noticed the quality of the material. The headphones are sturdy but still have a nice design. It is also very comfortable. Pairing them with different devices is also a piece of cake. In the beginning, it takes some time to find where which control button is located but you quickly master that too.
I wanted to use the headphones, among other things, to listen to music during outdoor walks but personally, despite being very comfortable, I find them a bit on the large side for this purpose. I should note here that I am used to compact in-ear "earbuds" for outdoors, so this could possibly cause a distortion in terms of the size of the headphones.
I am very positively surprised about the sound quality of the Yamaha YH-E700A headphones. The sound is very pure so you can enjoy your music even more. You get, as it were, completely sucked in which really lifts the music experience to a higher level.
As for Active Noice-Cancelling, I have a double feeling. Sounds are effectively noticeably filtered but not 100% cancelled. I regularly have a need to completely shut myself off from all stimuli and had hoped that these headphones would provide the solution for this. Unfortunately, quite a few, albeit muffled, sounds still come through the ACN.
Conclusion:
The YH-E700A are fine headphones if you are mainly looking for an optimal music experience. However, if you are looking for a headphone that really cancels all sounds then I think the YH-E700A headphones do not meet 100% expectations.

After receiving my headphones, I immediately started testing them in different environments. The box/packaging looked luxurious with a handy roadmap to use your product quickly and correctly. Pairing and use is logical and super simple! Ready to use in 10 sec, and optimal enjoyment from then on. The battery life is huge, pleasantly surprised at how long it lasts. Also you get a subtle notification when your battery level is low, so you have time enough to charge it before your next use. In noisy environments (school/station) annoying ambient noise is filtered out, this way you can continue to enjoy your music experience. Fully noise cancelling I wouldn't call these (personal experience with bose headphones) but I just found it pleasant that you are not completely cut off from the world. The headphones are tremendously comfortable to wear, fit optimally and you barely feel you are wearing them. They are also compact to carry around and well protected in the included case. In my opinion the Yamaha YH-E700A does what it promises, "feel true sound", I found this especially optimal when watching a movie! Disadvantages: - not 100% noise cancelling, but clear filtering of ambient noise - when paired with smartphone you have to switch on the headphones themselves to answer your call Advantages: - wearing comfort optimal - battery life +++ - quick/easy to pair with different devices - compact in use

Good all-round headphones!
The sound quality is good and beyond my expectations.
I can distinguish very well with the Layers, middle and treble.
The downside is a little too much bass with some songs so the sound of the Bass drowns out the song. the headset can also be used as a gaming headset.
With the Xbox Series S/X, it is currently not yet possible to headphone with bluetooth. By connecting the headset with the audio jack cable to the controller, however, this is possible. This works very well and sounds great!

The headphones came in a nice box with a nice case inside. Very handy! At first I didn't find a manual, but the headphones work quite inituitively. It sits nicely over my ears and the headband also feels soft: it does not clamp. The product feels solid and my expectation is that these headphones will last a long time: time will tell... The sound is clear and nice. I tested this on PC and phone. You can't adjust settings but the amount of bass and treble feel good. The right side has volume up and down and the power button. There is a function button that I don't really use yet. This one is to pause music, but I find that I often do that on the device itself. What is convenient: The music pauses when calling. It's a shame that a mute button on the headphones is missing! The left side has the button to adjust the sound. In normal mode, these headphones already let little sound through. Noise-cancelling makes even less sound come through. Ambient Sound is very useful if you still want some ambient sound to come through. Especially handy if you would ever use these headphones in traffic. The battery life is quite long. At startup, or briefly pressing the power button, you can hear how long it lasts. After about 30 hours of use, it indicated that the battery was running low.

This noise canceling headphone is exactly what I expected it to be! I am super happy with it!!! First of all, I love the sound! With music it is so beautiful and intense! When I call I hear it well and also the person I am talking to on the phone experiences good sound.
When I am on the phone, I really feel like I am alone with that person. Especially in a busy office environment that I work in again, this is very nice. And when I'm not on the phone, I have great music on! I notice then people leave me alone more and I can really focus better on my work because the ambient noise is significantly less.
I also really like the price of the Yamaha headphones, where the price/quality is really great!
In addition, I have a small head. So I was afraid that it would be too big, but it is good on (small) size so the fit is also good.
1 downside is that when it is on Bluetooth and there is no sound, there is minimal noise. But on the other hand that is also nice because then you know there is connection to your device.
The case it comes in is nice and practical. In addition, it gives a luxurious look

I am normally not a fan of "wireless" headphones, but these headphones are really super.
Tested by the whole family and found to be very good even by the kids.
The 'battery' life of the headphones is more than adequate. Cozy up in the couch and listen to some music and then put on the headphones to listen to some music again while mowing the lawn ... it works wonderfully.
My husband has also found them very pleasant when listening to an audiobook. Longer time with the headphones on your head does not bother, although it is still not a lightweight.
What is also nice about it is that you can store and fold the headphones neatly in the included box. Even me, who is not that handy, can fold the headphones and put them back in the box.
We still have some testing to do, but we are already excited.

When we unpacked the headphones we were amazed at the quality, they are incredibly light, yet robust. When put on, it also turned out to be easily adjustable and very comfortable on your head. Your ears are sealed well and there is nothing anywhere that could irritate. It took some searching for the buttons when it is on your head and what they are for, but that is actually very simple, otherwise you operate it via the phone. You pair it very easily via your phone and then they pair almost immediately all the next time. Then the sound, wow we are impressed, beautiful sound, good bass and clear sounds. The headphones immediately did not come off. The sound is also ideal for podcasts. In short, highly recommended, we are super happy with it, and there will be regular fuss about who gets to use it!

Very nice headphones if you are hearing impaired . Music is clear and easy to hear. Calling sounds also very good and the noise is really fantastic I hear nothing of background noise so I can really hear the music. The appearance is nice and fits well over your body. Not too heavy and easy and quick to charge. It also tells you how much battery you have left which is really nice. You can also use it with a cord in your phone. But I like the cordless better. I often use it for music while cooking or if other people are watching TV and I want to watch something on the tablet .
